Highpower International Announces Contract With a Global Sportswear Company

SHENZHEN, CHINA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/10/12 -- Highpower International, Inc. (NASDAQ: HPJ), leading provider of rechargeable batteries and battery solutions, today announced a new customer contract with one of the world's most respected manufacturer and marketer of outdoor apparel, footwear and equipment brands. Highpower's high capacity ultra-thin lithium polymer batteries will be used in an innovative new line of self-heating outerwear targeted to the outdoor enthusiast.
